There is a new recording of Felix Mendelssohn’s Trios, which was named Norman Lebrecht’s Album of the Week. And while the work of Fanny Mendelssohn doesn’t appear on the album, Lebrecht does use his review to discuss the relationship between the siblings and the inequality in expectations when it came to Fanny’s compositions.
