We’ve been keeping up with the Change.org petition started by 17 year old Jessy McCabe to include women in her school curriculum. The Independent continued the conversation about the problem of the lack of representation – and included discussion of several women composers in the article.
Not classically-related, but still important, The Daily Beast put out a piece about the sexism and abuse that women have experienced in pop music. The term “rampant misogyny” is used several times, and for good reason.
